Promoting civic and voter education through the use of technological systems during the COVID-19 pandemic in Africa

A human rights perspective to this article intertwines the information and political participation. It deals with intersections between provision of civic voter education (CVE), opportunities threats pertaining feasibility finding digital solutions for enhanced participation in democratic electoral processes during coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic Africa. Under normal circumstances while conducted through physical contact sessions, CVE is aimed at providing citizens communication, general life skills constructively participate processes. The greater attendance events, conviction that a significant number participants have been enlightened encouraged fully participate. As result, democracy becomes enriched consolidated. However, impacts COVID-19 render training dissemination crucial cumbersome, principally when considering strictly-restricted attendants consequently placing disarray enhancement Electoral management bodies, which are inherently charged responsibility promoting CVE, confront challenges securing meaningful Reliance on technological systems promotion consolidated emerges as measure last resort. Cognisant numerous developmental encountered by many African countries, instance could be far-fetched. More so, divide its militate empowerment poor voters remote rural areas where access infrastructure equipment distantly slim.
